The Non-Insured Crop Disaster Assistance Program is a U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency program designed to assist farmers and ranchers who suffer losses because of natural disasters such as drought or excessive moisture.

Many Hawaii producers who signed up for NAP by the annual program deadline each received thousands of dollars in assistance through this program.

The University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources and FSA will offer Hawaii Island producers workshops in three locations highlighting the benefits and requirements of the basic NAP coverage and the NAP Buy-Up option. Beginning, minority and limited resource producers are eligible for free catastrophic level coverage and discounted Buy-Up options.

The following are the upcoming Big Island crop disaster assistance program workshops:
